Harvest is well underway in the Esperance port zone, with CBH’s harvest report released last week revealing receivals have reached more than 444,000 tonnes.
From what I’ve heard, harvest has been a stop-and-start affair this year. The cooler weather, storms and hail have slowed things down for farmers across the region. I hope that frost hasn’t affected you too significantly.
If you haven't had a chance to read the most recent CBH Grain Report, (published last Monday 8th November), you can read it here. Grain marketing is also likely at the front of your mind. The DailyGrain app provides great insight to growers on current buyers’ prices and trends. I've provided a link with some more information below. For our fruit-growing clients, new Fair Work rules have been introduced which means workers picking fruit must be guaranteed a minimum wage.
Best wishes for the coming week. I hope the couple of forecasted days of upcoming 'cloudy' sunshine come to light, so to speak. If you have any questions regarding your financial management and accounting during this time, don’t hesitate to reach out - I’m only a phone call or email away.
All the best,
