ASIC Annual Compliance
Helping You To Stay ASIC Compliant
What You Need To Know
Annual Statement
Each year after your company's review date, ASIC provides an annual statement summarising your company's details and the fees due.
Review and Confirmation
Carefully check your annual statement to ensure all company details are current and accurate. While the annual statement itself doesn't require a signature, it's crucial for you to review it thoroughly.
Payment Deadline
ASIC fees must be paid by the due date listed on your annual statement to avoid late fees or potential legal consequences.
Annual Company Minutes
As part of your annual review, Smith Shearer will prepare and provide your annual company minutes. These minutes do require your signature and must be returned to us for our records and to ensure your ongoing compliance. Even if you've paid ASIC directly, returning the signed annual company minutes to us is essential.
What Happens if You Don’t Comply?
Non-compliance can lead to financial penalties, late fees, and in severe cases, deregistration of your company by ASIC. Staying compliant ensures your company remains operational and in good legal standing.
