Welcoming Two New Team Members to Smith Shearer
We’re pleased to introduce two new faces who’ve recently joined the Smith Shearer team. Both bring solid experience, a down-to-earth attitude, and a genuine interest in supporting our farming and regional clients.
Executive Assistant
Caitlin Robson - Executive Assistant to Gavin Smith
Caitlin joined Smith Shearer after two years with BlueScope as a Customer Service Officer, bringing a strong operational focus and an eye for structure and detail. In her role supporting Gavin, she coordinates priorities, maintains project whiteboards, and implements clear systems so that work flows efficiently, (often with her trademark colour-coded approach!)
Originally from Kalgoorlie, Caitlin and her family relocated to Esperance three years ago and value the region’s calm pace and community spirit. She appreciates Smith Shearer’s genuine, team-first culture and enjoys working with clients who are practical and down-to-earth.
Outside work, Caitlin plays netball for Newtown, spends weekends camping with her family, and can often be found at Nippers with the kids. At home, life is kept lively by two Staffy crosses, including “Moose,” a recent (and much-loved) addition from the Hopetoun markets.
Calm, capable, and organised, Caitlin brings both order and warmth to the Smith Shearer team.
Accountant
Jaden Shrestha
Welcome, Jaden! Smith Shearer is excited to welcome Jaden to the team.
Originally from Nepal, Jaden brings with him a Master of Accounting from the University of Newcastle and three years’ experience in public practice accounting. He’ll be relocating from Sydney to join us here in Esperance, drawn by both the lifestyle and the opportunity to work closely with farming and regional businesses.
Jaden will soon commence his Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) studies and has joined our Business Services 2 division under Cheryl’s leadership.
Having grown up on a farm with livestock and crops, Jaden understands the unique nature of farming families and the challenges that come with managing rural enterprises. A self-professed lover of learning, he’s eager to deepen his understanding of business, right through from from tax compliance to strategic business advice.
Outside of work, Jaden is a keen photographer, self-taught from an early age, and can’t wait to capture the landscapes and light of our beautiful region. He’s also a dedicated runner who enjoys spending time outdoors and exploring nature.
We’re thrilled to have Jaden join the Smith Shearer family and look forward to introducing him to our wonderful clients. If you see him around the office or at one of our community events, be sure to say hello and make him feel at home!
